Simon Needham from BCS beside Lalji Bhudia and the Team at LVB Packaging Ltd
New British Sheet Plant selects BCS Autobox
L V B Packaging Ltd based in Basildon, Essex officially opened for business in June 2014 with the aim of supplying short to medium run box orders and bespoke polystyrene products with a focus on quick delivery times.
Founded by Lalji V Bhudia, with over 32 years packaging industry experience, L V B is looking to serve its own local Customers whilst also working in conjunction with a major Packaging Material Distributor.
Having purchased his first Autobox machine in 1995 Lalji had progressively upgraded to larger Autobox machines, so when it came to starting his new business, he had no hesitation in turning to BCS•Autobox for the supply of a complete line of box making, printing and finishing machines.
At the centre of L V B's plant is an Autobox box maker with MultiCut module, single colour flexo print, die cutting and stacker. The MultiCut module enables oversized sheets to be run and multi out on certain box styles and pads. With typical tool free set time of 1-2 minutes, the system is ideal and enables L V B to respond to the most demanding Customer delivery expectations.
The Autobox offers the flexibility of producing over 100 FEFCO box styles running board from 100mm to 2.6m in width to lengths up to 5m.
Finishing is achieved by a BCS Pro Gluer, a semi-automatic quick set cold glue folder gluer and a manual Stitcher. A Rotary Slitter/Creaser completes the machinery portfolio.
The equipment was installed by BCS Engineers with operator training all being completed within 1 week.
Comments Simon Needham BCS Sales Director: "We are delighted to be working with Lalji again. When he came to us and told us that he intended to invest £1.3m in his new business we knew how serious he was to establish L V B to become a credible member of the UK box making scene. Supplying L V B with new BCS Autobox machines incorporating our very latest Quick Set technology, will help them to meet their business aims. We wish Lalji and his team, every success in the future"
