Bladen Box and Display, Mansfield are specialists in point of sale displays, promotional exhibition displays, signage, retail packaging and conventional packaging. Established in 2004, Bladen Box now boasts an impressive portfolio of blue chip, SME and new start-up businesses.
James Bladen, Managing Director; said:“ We are known for our attention to detail, our excellent customer care, industry knowledge, for offering a quick turn around service for bespoke low-medium volume requirements with the highest level of consistency. Maintaining branding consistency is vital for brand awareness and visual aesthetic impact. We know that the quicker your products reach the stores, the sooner it can be bought”.
He Continues; “Upgrading our box maker to a new Autobox enables us to offer a much more rapid turn-around service on despatching manufactured promotional products as well as not being limited to the number of boxes we can offer our customer base per day/week/month. The new box maker is getting through in one day what the old one would in four days”.
Daniel Bladen, Operations Director, adds: “The New Autobox is set up in seconds. The quality of boxes is so much better than before, and the time freed up has enabled us to put a second shift on to the printing and converting side of the business”. He continues: “On one job, we were getting over 1300 boxes per hour being automatically fed which meant there was only one operator needed. On top of this, the new machine has much more manual control and potential designs available. One of the designs we have found very useful is the 0401 design, normally this is produced on a diecutter, requiring costly tooling. Also the set up time on this job is only 60 to 120 seconds and we can produce large and small format wraps.
Arran Sethi, Sales Manager for Kolbus-Autobox comments: “The installation went really well. Bladen Box were producing live jobs the next day. Their operators were very happy with the speed, quality and ease of use of the Autobox”.
Arran continues: “The ability to bring in house more ‘on demand’ work, responding to key demanding customers, having the ability to control rush jobs, small quantity ‘nuisance’ jobs, campaigns with lots of different sized products or many destinations with different ‘packs’ whilst saving money is a huge benefit to their company and others like Bladen”.
"Over the last 35 years I have been heavily involved with most aspects of our manufacturing and I can honestly say the AutoBox is probably, for what it does, the best machine I have ever worked with"
